Próspero Microfinanzas Fund

Próspero Microfinanzas was launched in 2010 to create a regionally based equity management capability focused on emerging microfinance institutions in Latin America. The General Partner and management team is a collaboration between Grassroots and La Paz based Bolivian Investment Management, who Grassroots had helped introduce to microfinance through LocFund. Prospero completed its investment period in 2014 with a portfolio of nine companies and is now actively engaged in governance and targeted technical assistance efforts.
