Gail Buyske

    Gail Buyske is a non-executive director and international development banker with experience in debt and equity transactions, private equity funds, bank credit and risk management, financial sector analysis and strategy development, and micro/SME finance. Her thirty year career has included debt and equity investments in the CIS; advisory board and investment committee positions on private equity funds; sovereign debt rescheduling in Latin America; problem loan work-outs in the United States; corporate lending in Hong Kong ; and over twenty financial sector advisory assignments in Asia, Eastern Europe/CIS and the Caribbean. Ms. Buyske also serves as a non-executive director of several banks with operations in countries of the former Soviet Union and created the audit and/or risk committees of seven banks. Her book on Russian banking and microfinance was published by Cornell University Press.
